Travelog – Day Nine

Tale as old as time…

One of my favourite Disney films is Beauty and the Beast, so when I managed to score a reservation for Be Our Guest, the Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant in Fantasyland, I was delighted.

The styling inside is gorgeous, right down to the snowy windows in the ball room, and the magic rose.

The food, well Chris’ roast beef sandwich went down well, my croque monsieur was a bit soggy, but edible, just different from what I’ve had before.  And then, finally, I tried the Grey Stuff!  And, yes, I’d say it was delicious!   Sweet, light and creamy…  The dishes don’t lie!

One thing I love about Disney is turning the corner, and finding something unusual I didn’t expect.  We did that twice today.  Once, we hit the courtyard just in time to catch the Main Street Philharmonic, a brass band playing Disney classics.

Then, as we were leaving, we found the Move it, Shake it Dance party!

This evening, we heading to Hollywood Studios, to see Fantasmic and then the Star Wars fireworks.  Both were awesome, and we’ll hopefully see them again before we go!  I have no pictures, partly because I was enjoying them too much to worry about a camera, and partly because firework shows aren’t the easiest things to photograph.  You want to see them?  Check them on YouTube!

Tomorrow, we’re heading to Lakeland, about 45 minutes south, for the first of two concerts we’ve got booked, a Queen tribute act.
