Two for one
Yesterday was an odd day. We started the day under a storm warning and as such we weren’t sure if we’d get any park time in, but since it had stayed dry by lunchtime, we decided to risk it.
We actually got a couple of hours in before the temperature dropped and the winds picked up, so we decided to head back. About half way through the park, the heavens opened. Now, I’ve been to the Florida parks in the rain. That’s fun. It’s so warm there that you’re dry within a few minutes of it stopping and go about your day. This wasn’t that! This was the cold, biting rain that wasn’t stopping any time soon! By the time we got back, I have never been so glad that I’d brought my big fleece hoodie *and* bought a Winter Efteling blanket!
The everning was spent snuggling up and eating room service. To be honest, the two travel days were both mentally tiring, due to traffic and delays, so I think we needed it.
Today couldn’t have been any more different. Blue clear skies and bright sunshine. Still cold mind you, but a crisp, fresh cold.
Most of the day was spend shopping and jumping on various rides. We also managed to find the Story Tree in thr Fairy Tale Forest. How we walked passed and missed it last time, I have no idea!
So now, we’re fed and mostly packed, ready to do the reverse journey home over the next two days.
Roll on May, when we’re back!
