Moving Day

Last bit at Beekse Bergen this morning, coffee on the veranda watching the animals have breakfast, then off for our own breakfast, load up the car and one last drive round the car safari before heading to Efteling.

Yesterday, it was camels wanting the toll to let us pass, today it was giraffes.

Lets just say that was not an encounter we expected, but it made the whole trip worthwhile.

A short drive, and a quick round the supermarket later, our bags were dropped off at guest services and we headed into Efteling until our room was ready at 4pm.

The weather is still glorious, so different from our last trip! The Grand Hotel is nearing completion; it opens in August, and we’re already booked for October. We had lunch, then mostly we chilled and got our bearings again.

We’re staying in the same room as last time – our home from home, it seems. We got unpacked and organised, then ordered in for dinner.

Tomorrow, we get early entry into the park, and I may have agreed to a couple of thrill rides.
