Cold but mostly happy
It’s been a long day today, but so much fun!
We hit the parks today for Early Magic Hours, getting into Disneyland Park while it was relatively quiet, and were greeted by Mickey and Minnie as we entered the park. We ended up getting a good few rides done before lunch, including Star Tours, which is always a favourite!
The weather turned a bit cold and drizzly, so we decided to split the day and head back to the room for a couple of hours – opportunity to get dry shoes on if nothing else!
The evening was spent at Disney Studio Parks, with our main goal being the Avengers Power of the Night drone show. First though we tried WEBslingers, which is the Spiderman themed ride, and had a run in with Thor and Loki, along with another trip round Remy’s, and the Cars Roadtrip. We also caught the Mickey and the Magician show, which was an unexpectedly good half hour.
After some dinner, we got out space marked out for the drone show. Sadly, just before it started, they announced the decision that there would be no drones tonight! To be fair, it was pretty breezy, and we were half expecting it, but still! Even without the drones, and just the projections and fireworks, it’s an amazing show. We’ll give it another go tomorrow, weather permitting.
Tomorrow is our last full day, we’ve got a couple of shows we want to catch – Philharmagic, and the Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands – and a few rides we want to ride again, but it should be a fairly laid back day!
