Back in the swing of it

First full day, and – most important news – Danse Macabre was still closed! Apparently there was a malfunction late on Sunday, which they’re working on.

Started on Fata Morgana, which is always a good way to start the morning, followed by coffee on the terrace there, enjoying the view over the lake and back to the Grand Hotel. We’re back there in November!

Few favourite coasters, Joris en de draak then the Flying Dutchman. Such fun and great stress relief, too! Mostly, we just wandered, enjoying the atmosphere. I also took the opportunity to do a ride I’ve never done before, the monorail that goes around Laafland at Anton Pieckplein. It’s one of the ones that’s a no-go for Chris, as if it needs evacuated, they need to use ladders! It was a fun ride, you get to see things at unexpected angles, and it goes at a fair clip, too!

Little bit of offsite shopping, and a wander round the lake and the Sandman’s Castle finished the day off.

Tomorrow’s plans are more shopping, and the Fairytale Forest.
