A mostly non-park day

So, important Danse Macabre update – closed for the foreseeable! NOOOOO! They’re waiting on someone coming in from Intamin, the company responsible for the ride mechanics. So, I guess I’m not riding it this trip.

But, as normal, we had a break from the park. Sort of!

Efteling sells a lot of ornaments inspired by its rides and attractions – they have a huge Diorama in the middle of the park, and these look like they should belong in that. But, the one I wanted, the Danse Macabre building, was out of stock. However, there’s a garden centre about twenty minutes away that *also* sells the Efteling models. And at a discounted price. So, guess where we ended up! Not only did we get the Danse Macabre on, but a few other bits and pieces that had also been out of stock! Worthwhile trip!

We drove around a bit, did some more shopping, including a yarn shop I’d found online, as I wanted to see if I could find anything different! And I did!

We did end up back in the park late afternoon, and managed to fit in three rides – Pagoda, Vogel Rok, and Max and Moritz, as well as a coffee in Anton Pieckplan.

Tomorrow, full on ride day, followed by Caro in the evening.
