Open til almost closed

Been a long, fun but very busy day today!

Breakfast was our first experience of the eateries at the hotel, and a very fine breakfast it was, too! As hotel guests, we get early park access, half an hour before day guests, so we made the most of it, and got both Max and Moritz and Fata Morgana out the way by the time the park officially opened and we were half way to Danse Macabre. What do you mean, you thought I rode that yesterday? And…?!

We actually got a lot of rides done before lunch. After Danse Macabre, we went to the Flying Dutchman, Joris en de Draak (George and the Dragon) – which we were lucky enough to ride twice, back to back, they just let us stay on! – then Carnavale Festivale before heading for our late lunch booking at Polles Keuken, which specialises in sweet and savoury pancakes.

After lunch, we had a quick walk across to Symbolica, and then chilled for a while wandering about and people watching. Honestly, we were too stuffed after lunch to consider any of the fast rides!

After a lazy afternoon, and a stroopwafel coffee that was almost a meal in itself, we headed back to Danse Macabre – what can I say, it’s probably my favourite ride in the park! After that, we did a little bit of shopping, before my feet started to protest and we decided to call it at day, maybe about half an hour before park close. I’m definitely loving the luxury of being *this* close to the park!

Tomorrow, we’re planning park in the morning, then some shopping in the afternoon.
