Photodump for Christmas at Efteling

Sorry this has taken so long. Christmas day was long, and cold! By the time we got back to the hotel in the evening and warmed up, it was late and I was tired, and just didn’t get round to it!

It was definitely an interesting experience; it’s the busiest I’ve ever seen Efteling, to be sure. Nothing compared to Disney busy, but still! One thing’s for sure, they know what they’re doing with merch! I got a hat, scarf and gloves, all fur lined and the warmest I’ve ever owned!

A lot of the rides ended up closed due to the weather – well, much as I love The Flying Dutchman, I really wouldn’t want a water landing in that temperature! We have since discovered that some rides, such as the Gondolettas and Max and Moritz can be left running overnight to stop them freezing to the tracks!

We’re back in April, hopefully for a slightly warmer trip!
