Travelog – Take me out to the ball game!

Warning – lots of pics in this update!

The main reason for the trip to Miami was to go to the ballgame.  Atlanta Braves v Miami Marlins at Marlin Park.

Baseball games tend to be played in sets of three – I guess when you’re travelling those kinds of distances, it makes more sense than single games – and Atlanta had won this first two, but the two teams are fairly evenly matched.

First stop was the Bobblehead Museum – and yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like!  Row upon row of bobbleheads on wobbling shelves.  Fun, but watch out if you’re prone to seasickness!

The tickets we had were fantastic – front row, right behind the Marlin’s dugout!  My camera got a good workout, and I got some brilliant pics.

Sadly, the Marlins lost the game, but it was a close finish and went to extra innings, so was worth going!

Drove round and explored a bit more of Miami in the evening – don’t know that we’ll come back, but at least we can say we’ve been.

Zoo tomorrow, and back to Orlando.
